About the Role

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Addiction Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Ailsa Hospital.

As a key member of our South Ayrshire Community Alcohol and Drugs Service, you will work closely with our Senior Management Team and prescribers to develop and deliver high-quality services for individuals with substance misuse issues.

With a strong background in addiction treatment and interventions, you will provide expert clinical care and support to our patients, working collaboratively with our integrated health and social care teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for individuals with substance misuse issues
  • Provide expert clinical assessment and care to patients, including non-medical prescribing
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services
  • Supervise and educate our health and social care staff on addiction treatment and interventions
  • Contribute to the development of our service delivery and ensure compliance with NMC and health and safety legislation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A First Level Registered Nurse qualification
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to advanced practice
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a complex environment and make sound decisions
  • UK driving license and car ownership
