About the Role
The UHBW Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Paediatric Sonographer to join our dynamic Ultrasound Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of examinations, including general abdominal, obstetrics, and gynaecology, as well as vascular and small parts.
About the Team
The Ultrasound Team at UHBW Trust is a friendly and supportive team of 19 sonographers who rotate through General and Obstetrics departments with 12 cross-site Ultrasound Radiology Assistants. We run a range of out-patient appointment lists, in-patient services on the acute sites, and a variety of one-stop clinics, using 18 high-end ultrasound machines.
About the Department
The Ultrasound Department at UHBW Trust provides opportunities for CPD, external courses, and extension of administrative roles, including QA, clinical audits, education officer, H&S, and managerial duties. We welcome applications from obstetric-only sonographers and offer a degree of flexibility in our working hours, including compressed hours to allow a 3- or 4-day working week.
About the Ideal Candidate
- A recognised Post Graduate CASE Accredited Ultrasound Qualification (e.g. DMU / Pg Dip / MSc)
- UK professional registration as a Radiographer with the Health Professions Council or as a Midwife/Nurse with the RCN
