About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Sonographer to join our team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our ultrasound department, you will be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of examinations, including general abdominal, obstetric, gynaecology, paediatrics, vascular, small parts, head and neck, and breast ultrasound.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a comprehensive range of examinations, including general abdominal, obstetric, gynaecology, paediatrics, vascular, small parts, head and neck, and breast ultrasound.
  • Issue your own reports and work independently.
  • Participate in the weekend and evening rota, with flexibility possible for compressed hours.
  • Mentor junior staff and trainees, and contribute to audit and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Recognised Post Graduate CASE Accredited Ultrasound Qualification (DMU/Pg Dip/MSc).
  • UK professional registration as a Radiographer with the Health Professions Council or as a Midwife/Nurse with the RCN.
  • Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience in Ultrasound, with evidence of advanced level CPD in specialist skill areas.
