Job Summary

The East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our ultrasound department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients across our three sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a comprehensive range of examinations, including general abdominal, obstetric, gynaecology, paediatrics, vascular, small parts, head and neck, and breast ultrasound.
  • Work independently and issue your own reports.
  • Participate in the weekend and evening rota, with flexibility possible for compressed hours.
  • Mentor junior staff and trainees.
  • Undertake audit and quality assurance activities.

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications: BSc (hons) Diagnostic Radiography/DCR or equivalent, Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound (PG Dip or DMU), HCPC or RCN Registration.
  • Desirable qualifications: Lower-Middle Management training/qualification, Evidence of further training at Masters Level or equivalent.
