Recovery Worker

About the Role
As a Recovery Worker with Turning Point, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with addiction and homelessness. This is a highly rewarding position that requires a strong understanding of substance use and mental health.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key worker to a caseload of service users, supporting them to develop plans to achieve their goals around treatment.
- Maintain regular contact with clients, offering advice, information, and psycho-social interventions.
- Provide assessments, risk management planning, and work closely with clinical staff around prescribing needs and partner agencies.
Requirements
- Understanding of substance and alcohol use and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work dynamically on a one-to-one and group basis.
- Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery.
