Midwife Educator Opportunity

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced midwife to join our team as a Midwife Educator. As a key member of our Maternity Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our newly qualified midwives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to newly qualified midwives, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized development plans to meet the unique needs of each midwife.
  • Collaborate with the Maternity Workforce Matron to create a safe learning environment that encourages and enables midwives to grow and flourish.
  • Support the recruitment and induction of new starters, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
  • Participate in the induction/orientation of newly qualified midwives, using your clinical expertise to support their development.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Midwifery
  • 2 years post-band 5 experience
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Completion of preceptorship
  • Cannulation
