We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Interim Neighbourhood Service Manager at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Delivery of Housing Services: To oversee the delivery of outstanding housing management services, including tenancy management, allocations, and community safety.
  • Manage Frontline Teams: To be responsible for the management performance and support of frontline neighbourhood teams delivering services directly to customers.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: To proactively monitor and report on the performance of all geographical areas, identifying areas of underperformance and developing strategies for improvement.
  • Build Strong Relationships: To develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customer services and assets teams.

  • Performance Management: To measure key performance indicators against success measures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Financial Management: To manage a designated budget, ensuring value for money is achieved through the monitoring and control of expenditure.
  • Health and Safety: To manage health and safety issues in your area of responsibility in line with the Health and Safety Policy.
Requirements
  • Housing Law and Practice: Excellent level of housing law and practice knowledge, including anti-social behaviour and enforcement.
  • Sustainable Tenancies: Excellent understanding of the principles of sustainable tenancies, including the effects of adverse childhood experiences.
  • Team Management: Good experience of managing a large team of remote workers.
  • Letting Properties: Great knowledge of letting properties.
  • Education and Qualifications: Ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent or relevant experience.
  • Analytical and Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse problems creatively and analytically in approach.
  • Performance Management: Proven record of effective performance management, including the use of performance objectives and SMART targets.
  • Leadership and Management: Leadership and Management qualification.
  • Report Writing and Presentation: Report writing and presentation skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft software packages and housing management.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Customer-Focused Service Improvement: Proven record of customer-focused service improvement.
  • Staff Management: Experience of managing staff, including recruitment.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time and tasks effectively, work well under pressure, and delegate deadlines.
  • Coaching and Development: Experience of coaching and developing team members.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Commitment to teamwork and collaborative work.
