Armstrong Knight is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant Trainee to join our team. As a Management Accountant Trainee, you will assist in producing financial reports, analyzing data, and preparing financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and post corrections as necessary.
- Liaise with budget owners to understand and challenge variances to plan accordingly.
- Responsible for statutory returns, including VAT and ONS submissions.
- Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts, audit deliverables, and disclosure notes for the annual audit.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- Experience in a previous management accountant role.
- Take ownership of the role and be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
- Experience and full understanding of prepayments.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
