Job Summary:

Armstrong Knight is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant Trainee to join our team. As a Management Accountant Trainee, you will assist in producing financial reports, analyzing data, and preparing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and post corrections as necessary.
  • Liaise with budget owners to understand and challenge variances to plan accordingly.
  • Responsible for statutory returns, including VAT and ONS submissions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts, audit deliverables, and disclosure notes for the annual audit.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a previous management accountant role.
  • Take ownership of the role and be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
  • Experience and full understanding of prepayments.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
