About the Role

Priory Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Priory Hospital Dorking. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services, ensuring effective application and communication.
  • Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritize patient needs, and planning and delivering relevant interventions.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
  • Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.
  • Contribute to business growth by actively promoting Priory therapy services in line with the local units' business plan.
  • Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient's rehabilitation.
  • Lead on the implementation of new services within the site, sharing best practice with other sites in the area.
  • Ensure the services and support provided offer good value for money and support the overall aim of the site.

Requirements

  • Hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy together with full BAOT membership and HPC registration.
  • Experience of working within the specialized area, including experience of working with individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Additional expertise such as DBT and CBT for Psychosis would be advantageous.
