- Develop and implement personalised treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient-centred goals.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities in daily living activities and other meaningful tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
- Advise on and facilitate the provision of assistive devices and adaptive technology to support independence.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning sessions.
- Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and integrate new techniques into patient care as appropriate.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Registration with the HCPC as a qualified Occupational Therapist.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
- Ability to develop tailored treatment plans and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Experience in a similar role within adult services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of assistive devices and adaptive technologies.
- A commitment to promoting patient independence and quality of life.
- Make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.
