  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ functional abilities and occupational needs.
  • Develop and implement personalised treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient-centred goals.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities in daily living activities and other meaningful tasks.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
  • Advise on and facilitate the provision of assistive devices and adaptive technology to support independence.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning sessions.
  • Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and integrate new techniques into patient care as appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Registration with the HCPC as a qualified Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to develop tailored treatment plans and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Experience in a similar role within adult services is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of assistive devices and adaptive technologies.
  • A commitment to promoting patient independence and quality of life.
