About the Role:

  • This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires excellent clinical skills, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with other multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans tailored to individual needs.
  • You will be responsible for assessing and evaluating children and young people's functional abilities, developing treatment plans, and delivering interventions that promote participation and independence.
  • As a senior therapist, you will also provide guidance and support to junior team members, contribute to service development, and engage in quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans that align with national and local guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and maximize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service evaluation, and research projects.

Requirements:

  • A recognized Occupational Therapy degree or postgraduate qualification.
  • Health Professions Council registration and license to practice.
  • Relevant postgraduate training and experience in pediatric occupational therapy.
  • Band 7 experience and registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
