Job Title: Head of Nursing and Quality

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Nursing and Quality Directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of commissioned services in Derby and Derbyshire, providing assurance on all aspects of quality and safety in the system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on workstreams within the ICB agendas of patient safety and quality
  • Support the development of the safety and quality strategy
  • Work with Healthcare Providers of NHS care and the improvements required
  • Manage the Acute Quality Team and Patient Safety Team
Requirements:
  • NMC Registration only
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience
  • Significant experience with Quality Contract development and oversight
  • Experience in Quality Governance Assurance and improvement
  • Knowledge of financial systems

The ideal candidate will have a background in quality assurance and improvement, experience of working across different sectors of health and social care, and the ability to work with multiple partners across health, social care, and the third sector.

This is a wide and varied role that will require the successful candidate to be flexible in their approach and adaptable. The role sits as part of the Nursing and Quality Directorate Portfolio within the ICB and is open to candidates with a clinical and professional background.
