About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic Ceded Re Data and Analytics team at Markel International Services Ltd.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Markel's Ceded Re analytics capabilities, driving business growth through data-driven insights.
  • Collect, analyze, and present complex data exhibits to inform reinsurance submissions and optimize reinsurance structures.
  • Develop and maintain data stories, using data visualization techniques to communicate key findings and trends.
  • Support post-placement data capture, portfolio analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Design and implement reporting solutions to meet business needs, leveraging expertise in data visualization tools.
  • Establish strong partnerships with data owners, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making.

Requirements:

  • Proven actuarial domain expertise, with a strong understanding of insurance and actuarial concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, or similar tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
