Our client is a dynamic business established in 2013 to deliver first-class marine and aviation services to yacht and aircraft owners, as well as industry partners from the leisure marine and private aviation industries.
With a team of nearly fifty individuals split between their offices in Guernsey, Malta, and the United Kingdom, they specialize in registration, crew employment, agency, and aviation services.
Job DescriptionThe Crew Compliance Administrator will support the Senior HR & Compliance Manager in the day-to-day aspects of crew employment, monitoring seafarer qualifications, and ensuring crew and vessels meet MLC employment requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the maritime sector, particularly the Superyacht industry, and knowledge of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006).
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Senior HR & Compliance Manager in crew employment
- Monitoring seafarer qualifications
- Ensuring crew and vessels meet MLC employment requirements
- Providing administrative and compliance support with onboarding crew
- Regular monitoring and updating of yacht certifications
- Collecting crew certificates and verifying authenticity
- Uploading crew certificates to the crew portal
- Receiving and accurately filing all mandatory certificates
- Maintenance of the internal crew portal
- Administrative support to the team in all areas of crew compliance relating to the employment and payroll of seafarers
The successful candidate will have an excellent communicator at all levels, with the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues, Captains, Crew, and Clients when required.
They will also have a high degree of attention, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to check and record information accurately.
Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint, is essential.
A second language, such as French, Italian, or Spanish, is also desirable.
