In the role of Project Management Associate, you will collaborate with a Project Director to effectively oversee and execute infrastructure and construction capital investment projects across diverse sectors, including Higher Education, Government, and Defence.

This position entails offering client-side project management support throughout all phases of the project delivery lifecycle, from initial studies and development to contract administration and project handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client-side project activities, including stakeholder engagement, scheduling, and contract oversight.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AECOM clients, both new and existing.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the multi-disciplinary project team.
  • Lead the execution of Project Management assignments, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of project management outputs, adhering to established quality standards.
  • Coordinate and approve all management information generated by the project management team prior to distribution.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring they receive relevant training.
  • Engage in business development initiatives with current and prospective clients, identifying and acting on cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage the preparation of tender documents, evaluations, and negotiations.
  • Supervise other Project Managers.
  • Possess valid Security clearance (SC Level preferred, with support available for obtaining clearance if necessary).

Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts or similar, with a solid commercial acumen.
  • Experience in public sector project delivery is advantageous, with preferred exposure to commercial and residential sectors.
  • Proven collaborative management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Relevant industry and project experience.
  • Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Chartered status with recognized institutions such as ICE, RICS, CIOB, or RIBA.
  • APM affiliation is preferred.
  • NEC3 / NEC4 Accredited Project Manager is preferred.
