About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Project Director to lead the construction delivery on projects, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and budget commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the construction delivery on projects, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and budget commitments are met.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical services, procurement, and construction management.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve project delivery, including process improvements and best practices.
  • Lead and manage project teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Recognized construction-related professional accreditation (e.g. CIOB).
  • Hold a SMSTS and Managerial/Professional CSCS card.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction, and specific methods involved in project delivery.
  • Proven experience in construction management, managing medium-to-large sized infrastructure and capital projects.
  • Developed communication, presentation, and project planning and development skills.
  • Developed budgetary oversight expertise.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of project management, NEC contract management, strategic planning, methodologies, and construction delivery best practice.
  • Understanding of the leadership role, their influence and responsibility onsite.
  • Had spent time in both a consultancy and construction environment (or equivalent).
