Job Overview

Band 2 Administrative Support Officer - 15 hours per week (Tuesdays & Fridays)

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for an Administrative Support Officer within our organization. This role is integral to our reception and administrative team.

Candidates should demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, and IT abilities to deliver a high standard of customer service to patients, both face-to-face and via telephone, as well as to other service users.

The ideal candidates will be self-driven, able to thrive under pressure, and enjoy engaging with a diverse range of individuals.

Successful applicants will be welcomed into a supportive environment with a proactive team dedicated to your professional growth. A compassionate, efficient, and respectful demeanor is essential, along with the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a bustling department.

Training will be provided for the Radiology System.

Previous experience in the NHS is advantageous but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include performing reception and administrative tasks, managing data entry and retrieval on the patient administration system (PAS) and the departmental CRIS system (Computerised Radiology Information System), and ensuring the accuracy and currency of patient records.

Job Responsibilities

Maintain excellence in all aspects of your work.

Input and extract data on the patient administration system (PAS) and the departmental RIS system, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

Handle reception duties across all areas of the Radiology department, addressing inquiries from medical personnel, other healthcare facilities, general practitioners, and the public.

Manage both telephone and direct communication inquiries from the public and other healthcare professionals.

Regularly send and retrieve faxes as part of daily operations.

Collaborate with and provide assistance to all medical, nursing, and hospital staff as required.
