Make a difference for every patient
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Receptionist to join our professional and dedicated Administration department at our Plymouth hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Meet and greet patients and visitors at reception, ensuring they have the necessary paperwork / ID.
- Book patients in, inform them of any information they require, and make them comfortable while informing the relevant person of their arrival.
- Answer calls from patients, GP surgeries, and other hospital departments on all aspects relating to booking appointments, admissions, and patient referrals, and general enquiries.
- Become familiar with the internal clinical system and use it daily to record patient attendance and any failures to attend following the Did Not Attend (DNA) administration process.
- Be accountable for opening up and closing down the reception following set procedures, processing mail, and managing the car parking pass allocation register.
- Provide help to the wider admin function in times of high pressure and staff shortages.
