Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Cultivate and nurture trusted relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Take charge of delivering tailored financial planning and wealth management guidance.
  • Operate within the framework of an established business strategy.
  • Ensure that all client advice is appropriate, customized, and aligned with our advisory and compliance standards.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delegating tasks and responsibilities among team members.
  • Overseeing team performance, providing mentorship and support to staff.
  • Leading a dedicated team.
  • Implementing the annual Business Strategy in accordance with defined individual objectives.
  • Establishing new client connections while maintaining and enhancing existing relationships through effective ongoing service to reduce attrition.
  • Conducting and directing client meetings professionally, ensuring that all information and advice provided is current, technically sound, and meets client needs.
  • Guaranteeing clients receive appropriate advice to meet their financial goals, while considering factors such as retirement planning, inheritance, and tax efficiency.
  • Conducting annual client reviews in line with evolving risk profiles and strategic requirements.
  • Collaborating with Investment Management (IM) and Professional Services (PS) colleagues to strengthen client relationships.
  • Maintaining the New Business Pipeline (NBP) and ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensuring comprehensive client records are maintained accurately and in compliance with Group policies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a Financial Planning / Advisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in people management as a Team Leader.
  • Established ability to engage with new and existing clients on a fee basis.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in analyzing client information and identifying needs to make suitable recommendations.
  • Strong technical knowledge and effective communication of diverse holistic financial planning strategies and solutions.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience working within a risk management framework, with a thorough understanding of the risks and challenges associated with private client businesses.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a minimum relevant Level 4 qualification or higher (aspiring for Level 7) and maintaining an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing.
