Head of Financial Strategy

What will you be responsible for?
Your primary role will be to cultivate and enhance trusted partnerships with both existing and prospective clients. You will oversee the provision of financial strategy and wealth management counsel, operating within the framework of an established business strategy. All guidance provided to clients must be appropriate, customized, and aligned with regulatory and control standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delegating tasks and responsibilities to team members
- Monitoring team performance; providing mentorship, management, and support to staff
- Leading the team effectively
- Implementing the annual Business Strategy in accordance with agreed individual objectives
- Establishing new client connections and nurturing existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to reduce attrition
- Structuring and conducting client meetings professionally, ensuring all information and advice provided is current, technically sound, and meets clients' requirements
- Ensuring clients receive the appropriate guidance to meet their financial goals, while considering factors such as retirement planning, inheritance, and tax efficiency
- Conducting annual client reviews in line with clients' evolving risk profiles and strategic needs
- Collaborating with Investment Management (IM) and Professional Services (PS) colleagues to enhance client relationships
- Maintaining the New Business Pipeline (NBP) and ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
- Ensuring comprehensive client records are maintained and kept accurate in accordance with Group policy
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- Prior experience in a Financial Planning / Advisory capacity
- Experience in people management as a Team Leader / Manager
- Capability in managing staff workload; providing mentorship and support
- Performance management skills
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Strong Relationship Management skills
Qualifications:
- Possession of a minimum relevant level 4 qualification or higher in Financial Planning (aspiring for Level 7) and maintaining an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing
