Join Our Team as a Strategic Finance Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Finance Leader to join our team at the City of Wolverhampton Council. As a key member of our Organisation strategic theme, you will be responsible for leading our dynamic portfolio of services, including Strategic Finance, Internal Audit, Commercial Services, and The Hub.

As a Strategic Finance Leader, you will be responsible for providing financial advice, budget strategy, and final accounts, as well as overseeing Internal Audit, Commercial Services, and The Hub. You will work closely with our stakeholders to understand their needs and put residents at the heart of everything we do, embracing our 'One Council' approach.

We are looking for someone who is confident and inspirational, with a strong track record of leading financial services and operations. You will be responsible for delivering our aspiration that Wulfrunians live longer and healthier lives, while responding to the city and council's priorities at a time when local government is facing sizeable financial challenges.

As a Section 151 Officer, you will have statutory responsibility for the Council's financial affairs, and you will be expected to challenge the norm and provide innovative solutions to our financial challenges.
