We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Children's Support Worker in a brand new children's residential service in Chudleigh Knighton, Newton Abbot.

About the Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 years old with learning/physical disabilities, complex health needs, autism, and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children
  • Maintain a homely and friendly environment
  • Perform household duties
  • Deal with challenging behaviours when necessary
  • Support the children's independence and well-being
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans and guidelines
  • Support with personal care and medication
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, and other professionals
Requirements
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or in a similar social care setting
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People desirable but not essential
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence essential
