Job Title: Senior Children's Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team in Chudleigh Knighton, Newton Abbot. As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with learning/physical disabilities, complex health needs, autism, and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support young people between the ages of 8-18 years old with their daily needs, including personal care, education, and leisure activities.
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the children's home, including managing staff teams, budgets, and ensuring the quality of services meets expected care standards.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, and professionals involved in the young people's lives.
  • Organize and participate in activities and holidays, ensuring risk assessments have been followed.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or Team Leader within a similar social care setting or with Young People.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People or equivalent.
  • Hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence, due to the nature of the role you may be required to transport the young people.
  • Children's Homes Regulations and Safeguarding Knowledge.
