Senior Children's Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Children's Support Worker in a BRAND NEW children's residential service in Chudleigh Knighton, Newton Abbot.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Children's Residential Support Worker to take on a more senior role, continue their career progression, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people between the ages of 8-18 years old with learning/physical disabilities, complex health needs, autism, and challenging behaviors.
  • Encourage young people to take responsibility for their own lives depending on their age.
  • Support the manager and team in all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including managing staff teams, and budgets.
  • Ensure the quality of the services provided meets expected care standards.
  • Deal with challenging behaviors when needed.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Support the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or Team Leader within a similar social care setting or with Young People.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People or equivalent.
  • Hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence, due to the nature of the role you may be required to transport the young people.
  • Children's Homes Regulations and Safeguarding Knowledge.
