Job Title: Modern Slavery Safehouse Advocate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Modern Slavery Safehouse Advocate to join our team at Black Country Women's Aid. As a key member of our Modern Slavery Support Service, you will provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of modern slavery and human trafficking, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide risk assessments, needs assessments, and journey planning to support clients through their recovery and reflection period.
  2. Manage all aspects of accommodation, including health and safety, maintenance support, and fire safety.
  3. Work in partnership with key agencies to assess risk and provide tailored support plans for service users.
  4. Ensure that victims of modern slavery receive a safe space to live, support including financial and practical assistance, and referrals to partner agencies as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Female candidate with a strong understanding of modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • DBS check at the relevant level.
