About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Partner to join our team at Systems Engineering and Assessment Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between finance and operations, providing support to operations by transferring raw technical data into usable financial information and financial reports for the finance department and wider business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working on specific projects that are time-sensitive and will require data manipulation and preparing of information to present to the Senior Management team
  • Using higher-level functions of Excel on a daily basis and transferring data from other systems into Excel
  • Creating spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting functionality to meet the evolving business needs, working closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Director
  • Business analytics, including performance and productivity baselining, demand analysis, activity-based costings, and benefits tracking
  • Working with Production and Procurement to establish standard costing, purchase and material price variance analysis
  • Working with the Operations Director to understand productivity of the shop floor and justify investment in machinery and facilities as required
  • Working with the Production Manager to understand labour utilisation and efficiency
  • Oversight of the financial management of company inventory, ensuring regular physical checks (cycle counting) and appropriate valuation, obsolescence reviews, and provisioning
  • Responsibility for the financial integration mapping of all transactions within the ERP system
  • Supporting with lease/buy, make/buy, and utility contract decisions
  • Providing support to the Statutory financial Audits
Requirements
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • CIMA/ACCA Qualified
  • Experience in Financial planning, reporting, and analysis
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a track record of identifying issues and delivering solutions
  • Ability to change data into information for management
  • You will be an advanced Excel user and be fully competent in higher-end functions, including creating dashboards
  • Experience in preparation and presentation of BI data in Excel for senior management teams
