About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Band 6 Charge Nurse to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses and mental health assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to a team of nurses and mental health assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to ensure patient safety.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current PIN.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and mental health settings.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
