About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Relief Support Worker to join our team at Salvation Army Homes in North Somerset. As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and accommodation to individuals who are or have recently experienced homelessness.

Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and has the skills and experience to support our clients in achieving their goals.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a confident and capable communicator, able to build trusting, professional relationships with our clients. You will need to have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups. Ideally, you will be able to participate in our on-call rota as required.

  • Get to know and build the trust of our clients
  • Unlock our clients' potential to live independently
  • Enhance their social integration by encouraging participation in social and leisure programmes
  • Help residents with their support needs and with the practicalities of everyday living
