ATHLETIC SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Are you a recent graduate in Sports Studies eager to gain valuable experience working with children or young adults who have additional needs? Do you possess relevant experience or a keen interest in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)?

What we require from you:

  • A patient and empathetic demeanor
  • A genuine interest in aiding SEND students to achieve improved outcomes
  • A flexible mindset and approachable personality
  • Previous experience working with children or adults with SEND is preferred but not mandatory
  • Team Teach or Moving and Handling training is advantageous but not essential

About the position:

  • Support and assist in the educational development of students within the institution
  • Conduct sports coaching sessions across various sports disciplines
  • Collaborate with fellow teaching and support staff to maintain a safe and effective working environment
  • Ensure adherence to school policies, including behavior management protocols
