Job Introduction

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team at Diabetes UK. As a key member of our research team, you will provide administrative support to the Research Manager and Research Officer in the organization and delivery of the Diabetes Research Steering Groups (DRSGs). The DRSGs bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, and people affected by diabetes to identify areas of unmet need and stimulate research in these areas.

As a Project Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Research Manager and Research Officer, including organizing and facilitating meetings, events, workshops, or similar, taking minutes, and monitoring actions. You will also provide support in the undertaking of the Diabetes Research Steering Group (DRSGs) programme of work.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with strong administrative skills, including experience in organizing and facilitating meetings, events, workshops, or similar. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have a high level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
