As a member of our team, you will work with an experienced specialist smoke-free pregnancy midwife to advance your knowledge and improve your skills in smoking cessation. You will also contribute to the development of local guidelines and participate in clinical audit, research, and supervision of practice to monitor and improve standards of care.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting and advising women who continue to smoke during pregnancy to develop individual care plans and make referrals to additional specialist support.
  2. Caseload management in smoke-free pregnancy clinics to provide tobacco treatment solutions to women and their partners.
  3. Acting as an advocate for women to ensure they receive the support they need to successfully quit smoking.

As a professional role model, you will ensure that all care is delivered to the highest level and in accordance with Trust policies, procedures, and National Maternity Drivers. You will also contribute to the training of staff and participate in the development of local guidelines.
