Medical Receptionist Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Medical Receptionist to join our team at Staff Partners Business. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our GP practice in Oxford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients and visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment diary with precision, ensuring seamless patient flow.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner, directing them to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to data protection protocols.
  • Process patient registrations, insurance forms, and payments with attention to detail and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry, ensuring a high level of organization and productivity.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Proficiency in using office software and electronic health records systems, with the ability to adapt to new technology and systems.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands with ease.
