Education Programme Officer

About the Role
The NHS England board has set out the top-level purpose for the new organisation to lead the NHS in England to deliver high-quality services for all. As an Education Programme Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of medical and dental education for the healthcare workforce.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment of trainee doctors and other medical professionals
- Provide business and administrative support to the medical workforce, training and education (WT&E) team
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside the organisation
- Manage and coordinate projects in complex and challenging environments
- Develop and implement internal processes and procedures
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of managing and co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
- Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence up to and including senior management level
- Ability to manage own workload and make informed decisions in absence of required information, working to tight deadlines
- Experience of managing and reporting risks
- Knowledge of Financial Systems, Data Protection and Information Governance
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
- Evidence of continued professional development
