About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Axon Moore Group Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and implementing financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations: Maintain and implement financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with legislation, including being the first point of contact with external auditors.
  • Process Development: Continually develop and improve processes and compliance to ensure alignment with SOX principles.
  • Taxation: Ensure accurate calculation, recording, and payment of taxes, as well as upholding necessary filings, including P11d, Payroll Taxes, VAT, and Corporate Taxes.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile sales, stock, and goods received not invoiced, as well as other balance sheet codes, and analyze data to provide explanations for significant variances.
  • Reporting: Ensure timely completion of monthly management accounts, analyze final reports, and provide financial commentary.
  • Intercompany Balances: Manage and maintain intercompany balances for entities responsible, prepare month-end reporting statements, and reconcile data.
  • Statutory Financial Statements: Prepare UK GAAP statutory financial statements, roll forward non-trading dormant companies, and ensure quarterly reporting is completed, including attestations and internal audit.
  • Cost Reporting: Provide monthly cost reporting and liaise with managers on their results to budget.
  • Deputising: Deputise in the absence of the financial controller.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualification: Hold a professional accounting qualification, such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
  • Experience: Have previous experience in a similar role, including international exposure with accounting and reporting in various foreign currencies.
  • Skills: Possess strong Excel skills, experience using SAP, and knowledge of Consolidation reporting packages.
