About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Axon Moore Group Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and implementing financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations in the UK office, ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining relationships with external auditors.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure alignment with SOX principles, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee taxation, including accurate calculation, recording, and payment of taxes, as well as necessary filings.
  • Reconcile sales, stock, and balance sheet codes, analyzing data and providing explanations for significant variances.
  • Ensure historical reports are transferred to new reporting outputs and maintained going forward.
  • Provide analytical review and reporting on sales and gross margin, supporting regional directors as needed.
  • Liaise with external and internal parties on matters concerning R&D, legal, HR, insurance renewals, car leasing, operating costs, and expenses management.
  • Prepare timely completion of monthly management accounts, analyzing final reports and postings, and providing financial commentary.
  • Manage intercompany balances, prepare month-end reporting statements, and reconcile data.
  • Prepare UK GAAP statutory financial statements and roll forward non-trading dormant companies.
  • Ensure quarterly reporting is completed, including attestations and internal audit.
  • Review overseas entities' statutory financial statements and ensure timely completion.
  • Provide monthly cost reporting and liaise with managers on results to budget.
  • Deputize for the financial controller as needed.
Requirements
  • Professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Previous experience in a similar role, including international exposure with accounting and reporting in various foreign currencies.
  • International exposure beneficial
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience with consolidation reporting packages
