Role Overview

Location: Flexible across various locations.

As a Learning Content Design Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to guide a talented team of Learning Designers in crafting engaging and effective educational experiences that promote both personal and organizational development. You will play a crucial role in designing learner-focused training programs utilizing advanced tools and technologies, while also shaping the digital learning strategy aligned with SSE's sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of Learning Designers to create innovative, blended learning solutions through effective collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation and workload management to meet business needs while fostering a culture of creativity and growth.
  • Oversee the development of impactful learning experiences by applying instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles, ensuring accessibility for diverse audiences.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality standards and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in learning practices.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes for managing the Learning Catalogue, collaborating with quality assurance teams to support organizational learning goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proficiency in eLearning development tools and software, including Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in team leadership, workload management, and meeting project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with learning methodologies, including the 70:20:10 model, and the ability to coach team members effectively.
  • Understanding of project management principles relevant to learning design processes.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences, building trust and rapport across all levels of the organization.
