About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team at Runnymede, a unique and historic site with a rich cultural heritage. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring that it is safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the site's operations, including visitor experience, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Work closely with the Property Operations Manager and other teams to deliver events and activities that enhance the visitor experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the site's reputation and visitor numbers.
  • Lead a small team of staff and volunteers to ensure the site is well-maintained and visitor-friendly.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, including the local council, to deliver projects and initiatives that benefit the community.
Requirements
  • Significant operational management experience in a customer-facing environment, preferably in a heritage or conservation setting.
  • Ability to balance visitor experience with revenue generation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience of managing teams and leading projects.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and compliance requirements, with experience of assessing and mitigating risks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and strong decision-making skills.
