Personal Lines Account Handler

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Personal Lines Account Handler to join our team in Norwich. As a key member of our Personal Lines team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met, and supporting the team in achieving our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive customer service to clients, responding to their queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Check new policy documentation for accuracy and ensure it is forwarded to clients or liaised with insurers as required.
  • Negotiate and invite renewal of allocated clients' policies, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to clients.
  • Ensure all client records are up-to-date and reflect the current risk-on-cover, including accuracy of sums insured, perils, excesses, extensions, and exclusions.
  • Provide administration support in obtaining new business quotations and arranging cover, as well as processing mid-term adjustments and MID updates as required.
  • Process quotes within Service Level Agreement (SLA) timescales, ensuring timely and efficient service to clients.
  • Deal with clients' day-to-day enquiries, responding promptly and managing expectations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Refer technical queries to relevant managers, account handlers, and directors, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
  • Support team members during peak periods or in times of holiday/absence, ensuring seamless service delivery to clients.
  • Maintain an effective diary/activity/task system, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently.
  • Attain cross-sell/up-sell opportunities on policies, driving revenue growth and business expansion.
  • Ensure cover notes/green cards are issued where appropriate, and collate meeting notes, documenting and completing actions as required.
  • Create all invoices and relevant credit notes for new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, etc., in line with the broking manual/company procedures.
