Position: Womenswear Designer at Public Desire x Kaiia The Label

Public Desire x Kaiia The Label, an innovative fashion label based in Manchester, UK, is seeking a talented and imaginative multi-product Womenswear Designer to enhance our vibrant team.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the buying, merchandising, and marketing departments, contributing significantly to the development of a high-quality product assortment. Your expertise in trend analysis, social media insights, and customer profiling will be essential, alongside your strong commercial design capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and selecting fabrics, trims, fastenings, and decorative elements
  • Working alongside the Design Manager and Head of Buying for monthly product launches
  • Designing Kaiia jersey collections and woven-based multi-product trends
  • Enhancing company profitability by maximizing best-selling items
  • Creating commercially viable product ranges in collaboration with the buying team
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure top-notch product development
  • Preparing detailed technical packs for production
  • Conducting weekly fittings with our Garment Technician
  • Participating in photoshoots for styling and e-commerce imagery
  • Building cohesive product collections with the Design Manager and Head of Buying
  • Introducing new designs to expand product categories
  • Qualifications:

Deep understanding of Kaiia the label's brand identity and vision

Minimum of 3 years of experience in womenswear or fashion design

Degree in a fashion-related discipline

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Experience in graphics and branding

Comprehensive knowledge of fabrics and techniques

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to creatively interpret emerging trends

Strong awareness of fashion-forward celebrities and influencers

Positive demeanor, team-oriented, and adept at problem-solving

Capacity to work efficiently under pressure with tight deadlines

Excellent visual communication skills and adaptability
