In The Style is a leading pure-play online women's fashion retailer. We're all about championing female empowerment, body positivity and real beauty.

Through our collaborator model and in-house garment design, we create unique collections for all occasions and we're looking for a Womenswear Designer to join our team.

**This role is based in our Manchester office with a requirement to be in the office.**

This is a design role that offers you the opportunity to leverage your creative skills in crafting unique collections for influencers and celebrities while delivering exceptional products for our ITS women.

In this role, you will oversee the design of multi-category ladieswear. Additionally, there may be occasions where you'll be required to work on other categories, including men's and kidswear.

As a fashion designer at In The Style, your responsibilities will include researching current fashion trends and drawing inspiration from catwalks and in-season trends to produce fresh and original designs.

Ideally, you will have experience in the fast fashion industry, possess strong technical skills, a can-do attitude, and a strong willingness to learn

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:

- Staying informed about emerging fashion trends, including prints, fabrics, colors, and shapes.
- Creating mood boards to present to collaboration partners and wholesale partners, showcasing clear trends or themes.
- Developing commercial CAD lineups and creating development packs using Adobe Illustrator.
- Collaborating effectively with other members of the product team, including Buyers, Merchandisers, and Garment Technologists.

- Demonstrated creativity, innovation, and a deep understanding of our customer base.
- The ability to generate ideas, think creatively, and show initiative.
- Proficiency in design and visualization, whether by hand or through computer-aided design (CAD).
- Technical skills, including pattern cutting and sewing.
- Knowledge of garment technology.
- Proactive approach, strong organization, and time management skills.
- A keen sense of commercial awareness and a business-oriented mindset.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
- Negotiation skills and the ability to influence others.

**Experience required**
- Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced fashion environment
- Qualifications relevant to design are essential (degree level)
- Must be able to provide a portfolio of recent design work
- Confident using Adobe Software (Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Someone who goes above and beyond to support others in the team where needed
- Organisation and good time management
- Comfortable working at a pace
