About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Case Manager to join our team at Iceland. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to managers across the business on complex people matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive, expert telephone and written HR advisory services to managers at all levels.
  • Offer advice and guidance on complex people matters, including serious conduct, capability, employee concerns, and employee relations issues.
  • Support managers in the day-to-day case management of serious and complex employment issues, considering commercial constraints and legal frameworks.
  • Act as a fully participating member of the HR team, supporting HR and developing effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Manage a portfolio of cases, scheduling and prioritizing activities based on case needs and deadlines.
  • Provide face-to-face support to managers or act as HR lead on complex people matters, including hearings and appeals.
  • Ensure good employment practice through clear advice and guidance in line with Iceland's HR policies and procedures.
  • Work autonomously, using own initiative, and seek advice from senior colleagues when required.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of managing complex HR cases.
  • Demonstrable, comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and legislation.
  • Confident communication with people at all levels, with a clear, engaging, coaching, and collaborative style.
  • Strong partnership working with stakeholders.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 7) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond positively to feedback.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
