About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Infection Prevention and Control Nurse to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Infection Prevention and Control Team, you will play a vital role in reducing the risks of healthcare-associated infections and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of infection prevention and control strategies across the trust
  • Provide clinical advice and support to patients, relatives, and staff on infection prevention and control issues
  • Investigate and resolve healthcare-associated infection incidents
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of infection prevention and control
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs to staff on infection prevention and control best practices

Requirements

  • 2 years' post-registration experience in an acute trust
  • 1st level Registered Nurse/Midwife qualification
  • Relevant teaching experience
  • Diploma-level healthcare qualification
  • Prepared to undertake a recognized diploma/degree infection prevention and control qualification
