Job Title: Consultant in General Adult Community Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in General Adult Community Psychiatry to join our team at Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in our General Adult Community Services team. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health conditions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the General Adult Community Services team
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines
  • Supervise and appraise junior medical staff
  • Participate in research and audit projects
Requirements
  • MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
  • Experience of working in General Adult Psychiatry
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
