We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in our General Adult Community Services team, providing high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and effective service.
- Supervise and appraise junior medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Participate in research and audit projects, contributing to the improvement of patient care and services.
- Eligibility for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in General Adult Psychiatry.
- Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician approval or ability to obtain approval before starting post.
- Excellent clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in General Adult Psychiatry.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership and guidance to junior staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
