We are currently looking for a Cost Management Specialist to enhance our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities: As a Cost Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the costing framework for emerging technologies and assisting in treasury operations. Your contributions will be essential in collaborating with a skilled team of engineering experts to advance Vishay's proprietary power device product line.

Job Location: This position is based in Newport, South Wales.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Assisting in the ongoing cost modeling process, including development and oversight.
  • Building strong working relationships with relevant departments to ensure accurate modeling data.
  • Maintaining cash forecasts, processing payments, and supporting treasury functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with existing internal controls and developing robust new processes.
  • Enhancing financial systems and processes to achieve efficiency improvements.
  • Supporting the Senior Accountant with cost modeling and reporting tasks.
  • Conducting ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Participating in internal and external audits.

You will approach your responsibilities with a logical mindset, possessing the ability and drive to generate innovative ideas. Your strong communication skills will facilitate seamless collaboration with our manufacturing partners and internal teams, enabling you to build and maintain effective relationships within international and cross-functional project groups.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified or aspiring to become a certified accountant.
  • Proficient in numeracy and advanced Excel skills, with a knack for analytical problem-solving.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication and relationship building.
  • Goal-oriented, detail-focused, and a self-motivated individual.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a team-oriented environment.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.
  • Open to change and new challenges.
  • Minimum of 5 years of finance experience in a comparable role.
  • Experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
