    Scheduled to launch in the upcoming season, this world-class members' club will offer its community exquisite gardens, bars, dining options, and event spaces, complemented by a forward-thinking cultural and musical agenda.


The Role
  • We are in search of a dynamic Lead Beverage Service Specialist to enhance our team. As a vital member of our front-of-house service staff, you will contribute to delivering an unparalleled service experience alongside a skilled and engaging team, all focused on achieving service excellence for our members. Your enthusiasm for beverages, cocktails, and fine wines will make you a recognizable and welcoming presence for our members, ensuring their enjoyment of our bar areas from beginning to end.

You will take pride in maintaining the club's service standards and play a key role in enhancing the reputation of The Roof Gardens.

We are looking for someone with substantial experience in upscale bar and food service environments, possessing a polished demeanor, outstanding customer service abilities, and the capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

You will be an effective communicator, a collaborative team player, and diligent in your responsibilities.
Your primary duties will encompass:

Operations & Service
  • Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Deliver an extraordinary experience for members and guests by surpassing expectations with your professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating approach.
  • Uphold the high standards of personal presentation and conduct expected at TRG throughout your shift.
  • Oversee, mentor, and develop your team, ensuring they are well-versed in their roles, including menu knowledge, standard operating procedures, and company values.
  • Acquire and retain comprehensive knowledge of all menu offerings to maximize member and guest satisfaction.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders across all areas, adhering to the Roof Gardens' service protocols.
  • Promote additional products when appropriate, in line with TRG guidelines.
  • Process all transactions in accordance with company policies.
  • Proactively assist members and guests with various needs, such as arranging transportation, providing directions, and making recommendations.
  • Foster a positive team culture by setting an example for new team members and assisting in their training as needed.
  • Bring a constructive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the efficient operation of the club and engaging positively with other departments.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions and team meetings, including daily briefings.
  • Be actively present and engaged during your shift.
  • Collaborate as a team player and remain flexible to ensure optimal and profitable operational practices.
  • Continuously enhance service quality by communicating with and supporting colleagues in anticipating members' needs.
  • Report any feedback or concerns to the Bar Manager or Manager on Duty promptly to facilitate resolution.
  • Work collectively to achieve the key performance indicators of the food and beverage department.
  • Collaborate with your immediate and broader food and beverage team to ensure service excellence is at the forefront of all activities.
Compliance, Health & Safety
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and inviting lounge area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to health and safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Ensure full compliance with licensing requirements at all times.

Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a private members' club or luxury food and beverage environment.
  • A passion for high-quality food and beverages, with a solid understanding of cocktails, spirits, and fine wines.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and intuitive support at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of spoken and written English.
  • A reliable, punctual, and resilient team player eager to learn and grow, willing to participate in training.
  • Enthusiasm and energy, coupled with the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • A keen memory for names and faces, with attention to detail and the ability to anticipate challenges.
  • A friendly and engaging demeanor, taking genuine pleasure in supporting colleagues.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
