Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join our team at a large English-medium secondary school in Caerphilly. As a Behavioural Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Behavioural needs, Autism, ADHD, and addressing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Behavioural needs, Autism, and ADHD in a classroom setting
  • Provide one-to-one support for pupils who require assistance in Behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health areas
  • Collaborate with the ALN coordinator and teaching staff to ensure students can access the curriculum according to their individual needs
  • Develop and implement Behavioural support plans to promote positive Behavioural change
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to Behavioural support

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (child only) and registration with the EWC
  • Experience working with Behavioural needs, Autism, and ADHD
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE A* - C
  • Minimum of 2 references
  • Positive approach and passion for making an impact on children with Behavioural needs
