Job Description

Astute People's Renewables Team is partnering exclusively with a key business and influential player in the UK Anaerobic Digestion market. The company is seeking a Sustainability and Auditing Manager to join at a pivotal time for the business, as they roll out £500 million of new facilities across the next few years.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Sustainability and Auditing Manager, you will:

  • Collect data required for sustainability and government scheme submissions.
  • Prepare submissions for the Renewable Heat Incentive and Green Gas Support Schemes.
  • Gather, check, and present data, as well as manage third parties in preparation for audits.
  • Collate data from suppliers to calculate the carbon intensity of the feedstock production process.
  • Monitor any changes to the soil quality and crop yield due to the use of digestate.
  • Ensure complete compliance with regulations, champion best practices, and work closely with the schemes managers.
  • Support the wider business to develop the sustainability strategy.
  • Develop an understanding of sustainability credentials of all feedstocks.

Professional Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Degree-level qualified.
  • Three years' experience within a similar role.
  • Experience with UK government systems, specifically the Renewable Heat Incentive and Green Gas Support Schemes.
  • Knowledge of voluntary Sustainability Schemes (desirable).
