Red Snapper Recruitment | Public Safety is seeking a skilled Investigative Support Officer to join our team. As an Investigative Support Officer, you will work closely with the investigation team to gather and document evidence, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support investigating officers with statement taking and tasks such as seizing and collecting CCTV footage.
- Upload digital and documentary evidence to police IT and other partner agency platforms as required.
- Work methodically and accurately, using your own initiative, in a busy and pressurized environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize your workload to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills to respond to correspondence and enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Ideal candidate will have a background in quality assuring documents, knowledge of data protection, and compliance with GDPR guidelines.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel, with a willingness to be trained on additional IT systems.
- Ability to produce clear, legible, and accurate statements.
- Will to attend court and account for actions undertaken to generate exhibits.
- Personal resilience to handle difficult or distressing witnesses.
Requirements:
- Previous training and experience of writing S9 Criminal Justice Act 1967 evidential Statements for Court submission.
- Able to work in a busy office environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Ideal candidate will have a background in quality assuring documents, knowledge of data protection, and compliance with GDPR guidelines.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly rate of £13.77 per hour PAYE and £18.75 per hour Umbrella.
- A 8-month contract with possible extension.
- A 37-hour workweek with flexibility to work evenings when needed.
- A Monday to Friday schedule with a start time after 0800 hours.
