Chief Information Security Officer

We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join our team at Southern Water. As a key member of our Digital Team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring our IT/OT and Information Security strategy, in conjunction with our Operations, Data Protection, Security, and Governance teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement our Information Security and Information Governance policies and procedures.
- Provide information governance advice and guidance to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Assist with information governance-related issues and provide security reports to senior stakeholders and authorities.
- Manage and lead a team to deliver and demonstrate security and operational compliance within the Information Security, Information Governance, Risk, and Compliance function.
- Oversee incident response planning, investigating, and reporting actual or potential security incidents.
- Undertake and report on regular information security audits and access control checks.
- Identify changing threat models and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate risk-based responses.
- Ensure risks are effectively captured and managed within the IT function, aligned with group guidelines, company guidelines, and leading practice.
- Be an advocate for information security and information governance in Southern Water, promoting awareness, training sessions, and the positive benefits to the organization.
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Chief Information Security Officer who has a proven track record in establishing and managing Information Security and Information Governance in a regulated environment. You will have a solid understanding of information technology, information security, and information governance, as well as relevant professional qualifications and experience working in a senior level position in the private and/or public sector.
